Following the success of the first book, it became clear that there was a real appetite for the sort of guide I had written - not a tutor book, but a book that dealt with "the other stuff". About a year later I set to work on book two which has also gone down rather well. I tried to make this one less about the day to day issues of ukulele playing, and more about encouragement and getting new players out there strumming for fun!
Got A Ukulele's Barry Maz returns with a follow up to the bestselling ukulele handbook, 'What Ukulele Players Really Want To Know' with even more expert guidance for the ukulele beginner.
His second book in the series is aimed at those beginners who have grasped the basics and are now looking to move forward with their appreciation for the humble ukulele. Barry answers more questions that vex beginners in 22 brand new chapters dealing with everything from basic theory through to performing in public and starting your own ukulele club.
It includes some basic ukulele theory, some ideas for songs to try out based on real life experience, and much more. Most of all, the book aims to provide that much needed inspiration and support that new players look for in order to develop a life long relationship with the uke. Includes interactive table of contents.
